There’s something extra special about welcoming grandparents and grand-friends into the classroom! Our students loved sharing treats, smiles, hugs, and a little glimpse into their preschool day with some of the people who love them most.

For our Waiver clients, community engagement can look like cheering under the Friday night lights at a high school football game, spending a day at a local golf tournament, or simply being out and about enjoying the same events and traditions as their friends and neighbors.
These experiences are about so much more than having fun. They create opportunities to build friendships, practice independence, discover new interests, and feel a true sense of belonging.
At Building Bridges, we believe people with developmental disabilities shouldn’t just live in their communities—they should be seen, valued, connected, and included in them.
And sometimes, inclusion looks like a seat in the stands, a day on the golf course, and being right where the action is. 💙
